Solenoids

Transmotec sell tubular and open frame solenoids. The solenoids are available as push type referred with an S in the product name designation and with an L for the pull type solenoids.

The technical principle for the pull and pull type solenoids are basically the same. Principally the push type S has an extended rod installed at the rear side of the plunger. As such when the plunger pulls into the solenoids the push rod will simply push out from the rear side of the solenoids.

All our solenoids are supplied with light springs that will compress upon the solenoids are energized and the plunger is magnetically attracted to the centre of the solenoids body.

The solenoids stroke length depends on the mechanical system. Normally the solenoids will pull the plunger towards the stop upon compressing the spring. The spring release will move the plunger out from the solenoids body. It is important to know that the pulling force of solenoids increase dramatically the closer the plunger gets to the centre of the solenoids body.
